Title of the paper: Social critique through the social strata of The Lord of the Flies

Author or topic: William Golding The Lord of the Flies

Abstract: The purpose of this paper, as it is presented in the introduction, is to talk about the criticism against society through social strata. In order to carry out this task, we present a depiction of the different social strata that we have in The Lord of the Flies, including groups and subgroups.

Once the differences between all the strata regarding the society in the lost island are dealt with, we provide an in-depth analysis of what we consider individualistic characters and their involvement in the story.

Later on, we provide an analysis of the absence of women in The Lord of the Flies and the criticism that has been carried out regarding this topic.

Finally, in the conclusion, we close our investigation talking about the things that are more remarkable for us.
